Terms of References for various consultancies at the National Environmental Authority
The National Environmental Authority in Suriname (NMA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are engaged in the multi-year project Improving Environmental Management in the Mining Sector of Suriname, with Emphasis on Artisanal and Small Scale Gold Mining (EMSAGS).
The EMSAGS project aims to improve environmental management in the mining sector of Suriname, with the emphasis on artisanal and small-scale gold mining as the biggest cause of deforestation in Suriname. The project is funded by, among others, the GEF through the UNDP, and implementation is jointly in the hands of the Ministry of Natural Resources and NMA.

The EMSAGS project invites suitable consultants to apply for the position(s) mentioned in the Terms of Reference(s) in the attachment. Candidates who meet the criteria mentioned in the ToR can send their application by email, no later than 17 April 2026 at 15:00 hrs. Suriname time to [email protected].
